Springtime

Hi everyone! Today I thought I would do a cute, Spring theme with bright colors. I love this stamping plate! It's  BP-52  from Born Pretty Store . All of the polishes I am wearing were all Mother's Day gifts! The first one is China Glaze Nail Spray in Platinum Silver. This is my first 'spray polish'!   The next two are from Salon Perfect, Neon Pop colors, Pink-y Swear and Purple POP . They have so many awesome colors! Last but not least, from Essie, is Go Ginza on my pinky . The stamping polish I used is Dark Purple from Ya Qin An.  Quick link to stamping plate:  http://www.bornprettystore.com/full-design-beautiful-flower-nail-stamping-template-image-plate-born-pretty-bp52-p-18795.html

Pretty in Pink French

Where I live, it snowed today. Spring is right around the corner though so I wanted to do a design that was bright and cheery! Another thing coming up is prom season and you could do this design to match any dress color! The tool that made this manicure possible is the Clear Jelly stamper ! For those of you that know about stamping, it is very hard to get the placement of the design just right. I have a bunch of plates with different french manicure designs, but every time I would try them, it would come out crooked! With this stamper it finally makes it possible!!  You could also make flowers with a dotting tool or a nail brush!

Born Pretty Silver double stamped

Have you guys seen any double stamped nails yet? I loved the look so I wanted to give it a try! I just got in a new silver stamping polish from Born Pretty Store . The  Ya Qin An pink stamping polish  I did a review on in my last post, seemed to look really cool next to the silver. They both stamp great over dark colors! It was a little tricky to find a design that would be good for a backround and one to put on top of that background. I first pained my nails pink and black. Both are by LA Colors. The pink is called Electra from the Color Craze collection and the black is from the nail lacquer collection called Black Lace Creme. The stamping plate for the background design is he-he 018 and the plate with the  flower design is   BP-09  from Born Pretty Store as well. I used a dotting tool to put the middles of the flowers and that was it!  Below are the links to the stamping polishes. I am always looking for a good new stamping polish and...

Matte Black Floral Tips

I was originally going to color in this flower with neon pink and yellow but I decided to put a matte finish on instead.  I really love this matte topcoat by NYC called Matte Me Crazy. It's cool because you can turn any color you already have into one with a matte finish. The stamping plate I used here is from Born Pretty Store , BP-54 . The stamping polish is MoYou Nails, White.  Link to stamping plate:  http://www.bornprettystore.com/cute-owls-nail-stamping-template-image-plate-born-pretty-bp54-p-18797.html  . Happy Flowers

I get a lot of my nail design color inspiration from interior design palettes. I love this color combo of turquoise, grey and fuchsia. I was dying to try it and I just love the results!! For this design, I started with a white base. Let it dry. To do the gradient, I just apply the polish to a make up wedge and then press it onto the nail (as shown it photo below).  Then I stamped it with white stamping polish and stamping plate BP-20 from bornprettystore.com . To finish it off, I used a dotting tool to make the center of the flowers. Then I just did my clean up and put a clear coat on top. :)  I hope you all like it!!  The polishes used here are Sinful Colors-Dream On, Essie-I'm Addicted and  Sweet Color-Gray. The white stamping polish is by MoYou Nails

Tropical Floral

We are back from Spring Break! (Physically, not mentally..lol) We went to Las Vegas where the temperature was in the 80's and 90's!! Back home in Indiana were I live, It's been rainy and cold. :( So I wanted to do a design that was bright and cheery! I used a neon pink and orange from Academy of Colour that I got in a set from Kohl's. The stamping plate is from Born Pretty Store , BP-44 . I used a white stamping polish by MoYou Nails.   If you come on over to my Facebook Page , I am having a nail art contest, where the prize is a mystery stamping starter set!! :0   https://www.facebook.com/nutsfornails    Stamping plate BP-44 :  http://www.bornprettystore.com/elegant-lace-nail-stamping-template-image-plate-born-pretty-bp44-p-18787.html Don't foret to use my 10% off code PQL91 :)

Blue Ombre Floral

Hey there! I was looking through some pics and this is one I did a while ago that I guess I forgot to post. I love this blue from Sinful Colors!! It's called Endless Blue . The stamping plate is another one I got from Born Pretty Store . BP-17  . The blue, black and white polka dot polish is by Maybelline Color Show, Blue Marks the Spot.  Info for the plate is below.  You can use my 10 % off code PQL91  Stamping plate BP-17:     http://www.bornprettystore.com/elegant-flower-nail-stamp-template-image-plate-born-pretty-bp17-p-17262.html

Stained Glass Flowers

First I will tell you the polishes I used from left to right. LA Colors- Boomerang, LA  Colors- Electra and Essie- I'm Addicted. The stamping plate I used for the flower design is from Born Pretty Store ,  BP-07 .  The little silver studs are from there also. I actually did the stamping decal method here. If you are not familiar with that, it's when you get a plastic baggie and paint a square of clear nail polish onto it. When it dries, you stamp your design onto the clear square you made. Then you can color in your design however you choose. I apply another coat of clear over the top of that to seal it up. I let it sit over night and in the morning it will just peel off!. Then I put it on top of a coat of white polish and that's it! I may to a tutorial in the future to show this method. :) Round studs: http://www.bornprettystore.com/500pcs-12mm2mm3mm-mini-gold-silver-round-stud-rhinestone-nail-decoration-wbox-p-12411.html .  Use my 10% off code ANGELI...

Pink and Purple Floral

Hello everyone! I am already tired of this cold weather and the snow, so I wanted to make something bright and cheery.  I made this design with a purple polish by Sinful Colors called Tempest, a pretty pink from Pure Ice called Lucky You and some items from Bornprettystore.com . ( I will include the links to the items below.) First, I sponged on polish to the middle and ring fingers. I painted the pointer finger purple and the pinky pink. I then used one of the new stamping plates from Bornprettystore.com . It's BP-20 . Then I added pink and purple dots to the middle of the flowers. I finished it off with a clear coat to seal it all up and leave a shiny finish.  Colorful dots:  http://www.bornprettystore.com/mixed-nail-glitter-decoration-colorful-mini-round-thin-paillette-design-p-15085.html Stamping plate:  http://www.bornprettystore.com/mixed-flower-nail-stamp-template-image-plate-born-pretty-p-17265.html

Plaid

This is my Plaid Fall look. I wanted to play around again with the NYC Matte me Crazy polish. I used Sinful Colors Ruby Ruby and LA Colors nail lacquer Black. I then topped them all with just one coat of Matte me Crazy. I used a black stamping polish from MoYou Nails and thier stamping plate #124 for the floral and QA84 from bornprettystore.com  is the plaid stamping plate.

Purple Prom Nails

I think these nails would be so cute with a purple prom dress! I started with a white base from Broadway Nails, Snow White. I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear, Deep Purple (that's the darkest purple). The medium puple is Wet and Wild Megalast, On A Trip. The light purple is from Born Pretty  BK 10. The holo polish is also from Born Pretty , It's #9 (links below). Now for the stamping, this is one of the plates I won from MoYou Nails Summer nail art contest. I was second runner up and I won five of thier new ones! This one is #124. The black stamping polish is also MoYou Nails , Black. I finished it off with some black rhinestones. :) MoYou Nails Black stamping polish:  http://moyou.us/product/black-nail-polish/ Purple Holo polish:  http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-holographic-holo-glitter-nail-polish-varnish-hologram-effect-p-6407.html BK 10 light purple polish:  http://www.bornprettystore.com/colors-sweet-candy-fast-nail-polish-p-485...

Pretty Blue Flowers.

For this design I started with an all white base coat. I then taped off half the nail at a diagonal and I used Essie I'm addicted as the blue bottom half.  It takes a little bit of drying time in between. I then used stamping plate 25 by Pueen and the stamping polish is by MoYou Nails, light blue. To finish the look I used some silver striping tape.

Pink Roses

For this look I started with a base coat of pink from Sally Hansen, Pink A Card. I used stamping plate QA97 from bornprettystore.com . (link below) The roses are colored in with Sally Hansen Color Foil, Minted Metal and L.A. Colors, Pink Bubbles. The glitter nails are Pure Ice, Come Closer.  http://www.bornprettystore.com/nail-stamp-template-cute-flower-pattern-qa97-p-15613.html

Floral Gradient w/studs

I have got to say that I love the way this one turned out! I used all products from  MoYou Nails . The stamping plate is MoYou 218 and I used thier stamping polishes as well. Black, light blue, pink and lilac. The colored square decorations are from Born Pretty Store . Duochrome floral

My daughter surprised me with a bunch of these Kleancolor duochrome polishes. This was the first one I chose to try. It is called Flirty/Innocent. Since they are duo chromes, they all have duo names. I can't wait to try them all. As far as the stamping part goes, I used products from MoYou Nails, thier black stamping polish and plate 218.

Leadlight Flowers

I have seen all this talk about the new technique called Leadlight, so I thought I would try it myself. First of all, leadlight is kind of like stained glass. You can buy polishes for this like OPI Sheer Tints, or you can make them yourself. I made mine myself. You just take a bottle of clear nail polish and add about 20 drops of your desired color of nail polish. Depending on the thickness of the polish, after you mix it up, you should have a nice sheer colored polish. I painted my nails all black and then stamped the flowers with white. Then I added color to the white to give it that pretty colorful tint. What do you think of this technique??

China pattern nails

This design reminded me of an old china pattern that someone's grandma had! Lol. Maybe it's just the color choice.  I really like how it turned out. I used Sinful Colors, Snow Me White for the base and MoYou Nails, Light blue for the floral. The stamping plate I used is Cheeky Jumbo Plate #10 Happy Nails :)  I have a few extra stamping plates for sale at  http://nuts4nails.storenvy.com/  if anyone is interested! :)

Ombre Floral

When we were in Las Vegas they have these booths in different places that are MoYou Nails products. Since I love stamping, I was so thrilled to see these plates and polishes for sale there! I ended up getting 6 stamping polishes. In this design I used three colors on my stamping plate and came up with this Ombre Floral. The white base is Sinful Colors, Snow Me White. I used the same stamping plate from yesterdays post QA82 from Born Pretty Store.
